Who we are
Architecture Initiative, based in London’s West End, takes an imaginative and thoroughly-considered approach to delivering consistently exceptional places for all who use them. Our approach to designing intelligent buildings that complement their locality, respond to the needs of the community and stand the test of time is key to maximising the potential of the areas we work in. We know that architecture shouldn’t just be about buildings, it’s about place and fostering a sense of belonging. We pride ourselves on thinking differently and leading by example. Our expertise lies in responding to our clients’ needs with inspiring, considered and collaborative schemes. We aren’t afraid of questioning conformity when it leads to positive change.
Founded in 2012 by Matt Goodwin, Lee Mainwaring and Rowan Parnell, Architecture Initiative challenges traditional consultancy conventions to deliver a competitive, commercially-astute and design-focused service to our clients.
We have expertise across a broad range of sectors, scales and typologies; our award-winning portfolio has a combined construction value exceeding £500 million, comprising of education, residential (single and multi-unit), commercial mixed-use, community, and sensitive conservation/refurbishment projects.
We welcome debate and enjoy working with clients and partners, in both the public and private sectors, who share our vision for challenging conventions to make a better world for generations to come.
